then it would be cool if there was a Mandarin, but he wasn't Trevor, he was acctually a terrorist

It sure would be, but Aldrich Killian openly claims/admits to being the "real" Mandarin at the huge big battle at the end. I also remember a similar fan backlash at Batman Returns for how they messed around with the Penguin's character. Not to mention the unbelievably laughable attempt that Arnold Schwarzenegger made at being Mr. Freeze, contributing to the utter failure of that film.
Okay, now I'm confused. Is this thread for Batman or Mandarin?
I'm staying positive for Affleck as Batman. I mean, Affleck knows the source material like the back of his hand, him himself being a huge Bat fan (taking on Daredevil stating it's the closest he'll ever get to playing batman). Like, a reall big Bat-fan (10 years ago he built a Batcave in his home). So i'm hoping he tosses in his passion for Batman. Though some people just aren't fit for the roles of their heroes, (Nicholas Cage is a massive Superman fan, but i can't imagine him as the Man of Steel) i sense Affleck will do a decent enough job as to surpassing Keaton and may even be equal to Bale. Maybe this is just wishfull thinking or I actually have a reason behind thinking this, idk, but I think he'll do great.
The extra production time will pay off and the film will be twice as epic as a result. I am still mixed on Affleck, but he has learnt from the mistakes of Daredevil and hasn't really made a bad film since (as well as not having the toxic presence of J-Lo in his life).
It's not like they were rushing. They had about 2 years. They messed up, that's really it. But we will see how it turns out. It doesn't matter how good the film is, they still screwed up in the process.
What do you think?
