The Suicide Squad sequel, now titled as The Suicide Squad will release in theaters August 6, 2021, with Gunn directing and writing the film and the intent to "relaunch" the film with a new set of characters and actors with the possibility of actors like Robbie and Davis returning as Harley Quinn and Amanda Waller.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have moved on from The Flash with Andy Muschietti directing and his sister Barbara Muschietti on as a producer with Christina Hodson writing the new script.
