Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Lights Out is an official tie-in comic to the 2016 film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It was released on January 30, 2016.

At an orphanage in Gotham City at night, three kids debate who is a better superhero: Batman or Superman. Robbie explains that Superman is better while Carter explains that Batman is better and also cooler. David believes that Batman is a myth, but Carter claims that he saw Batman swinging on his Grapple Gun outside his window. Robbie insists that Superman can do impossible things and go to impossible places with his superhuman powers to help others. Carter insists that Batman goes after the most dangerous criminals and works with the police despite having no superhuman powers. Robbie reasons that Superman can fly into space and works to make the world a better place. Carter reasons that Batman has all the cool gadgets and has the Batmobile. Robbie says that Superman helps people across the world and stands up for what's right in the world. Likewise, Carter says that Batman is selfless and helps people all across Gotham City and disappears without a trace. Unable to reach an agreement, Robbie and Carter start arguing and decide that the only way to determine who is the better superhero is if Superman and Batman fight each other. Suddenly, a girl stops the argument deciding that Superman and Batman would actually decide to work together as a team, and declaring that Wonder Woman would beat both of them anyways. Going to bed, Robbie and Carter both agree that Superman and Batman are the best superheroes in the world.
