James Francis Gunn Jr. (born August 5, 1966) is an American filmmaker, actor, novelist, and musician. He has also currently serving as co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran since November 2022. He wrote and directed The Suicide Squad, and wrote Peacemaker, directing five of its eight episodes, and will write and direct both Creature Commandos[1] and Superman.
He will also produce Waller, Lanterns, The Authority, Paradise Lost, Batman: Brave and the Bold, Booster Gold, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow and Swamp Thing.[2]
Gunn appeared as the featured guest in Episode 1 of Podly: The Peacemaker Podcast, a companion video podcast for Peacemaker hosted by Ify Nwadiwe and Fiona Nova.
