David Thewlis (born March 20, 1963 as David Wheeler) is an English actor. He portrayed Ares in Wonder Woman, Justice League and Zack Snyder's Justice League. He provided motion-capture performance for Ares' face that was superimposed on to body double Nick McKinless for the action scenes in Justice League and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
