Production history
On November 11, 2016, a film was announced based on the Birds of Prey comics, with Christina Hodson writing the script and Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn.[2] In April 2018, Cathy Yan was announced to direct the film.[1] In July, Robbie revealed that production would start in January 2019.[8]
