About 20 years or so ago she busted a big case but her former partner, Patrick Erickson, somehow was able to take all the credit for it. The boss had a knife to his shoulder and a arrow bolt to his neck making his death slower than the others who were gunned down. Montoya was quickly able to read the room and tell that the shooter attacked while inside the building.
