Biography Edit

Early LifeEdit

Much of Montoya’s past is shrouded in mystery just that she’s a fan of 80’s cop shows which is why she joined Gotham City Police Department and at some point she came out as lesbian. About 20 years or so ago she busted a big case but her former partner, Patrick Erickson, somehow was able to take all the credit for it. This led to him getting a promotion to Captain of Police while Montoya stayed on a detective level and was given a new partner. At some point Montoya had a relationship with Ellen Yee who was promoted to District Attorney of Gotham at one point in time.

Case against SionisEdit

On the night Harley Quinn declares to all of Gotham that she and Joker broke up, Montoya and her partner find a crime scene in a Italian restaurant where a crime boss and his goons were killed. The boss had a knife to his shoulder and a arrow bolt to his neck making his death slower than the others who were gunned down. Montoya was quickly able to read the room and tell that the shooter attacked while inside the building. Not knowing who the killer is she and the other cops call the killer ‘‘‘Crossbow Killer’’’ and found a hair identifying that the killer is female.

When Ace Chemicals blows up Montoya and her partner heard it as the explosion was heard all throughout Gotham, quickly leaving the crime scene and into another they see the aftermath of Harley’s declaration. One of the policeman find Harley’s J necklace and Montoya realizes that it’s Harley Quinn making a statement that she and Joker are no more. Realizing it’s putting a target on her back, Montoya decides to find Harley.

The next morning Montoya goes to Dinah Lance’s apartment you try to have her be her new lead for her case against Sionis. At first Lance denies it but Montoya was able to make her come around and gives her her phone number. After that Montoya finds Harley and tries to arrest her but Harley gives chase. Having Harley think she lost her Montoya sneaks up on when she’s held at gunpoint by Sionis’s former driver and tackles her making her lose her breakfast sandwich. Having her at gunpoint and with some dumb luck Harley was able to escape by having a trash bag thrown on Montoya and the driver which causes one of them to shoot at the brother of Bruce’s owner who is driving a van to crash into the former driver and Harley gets away. After failing to get Harley, Montoya returns to GCPD where she finds Cassandra Cain arrested gain.
