Development[]
Warner Bros started working on a Lobo project back in 2009 by hiring Guy Ritchie for the project but in 2010, he had dropped out. In 2012, Joel Silver was brought on to produce the film with Brad Peyton set to direct, and Dwayne Johnson in talks to play the title character, but dropped the role for Black Adam. In March 2016, Jason Fuchs came on as the writer, and in February of 2018 The Hollywood Reporter broke that Michael Bay is who WB wants for the director. WB and Bay both want the budget for the film reduced due to the current script costing a 200 million budget. [1]
